There are no mandatory vaccines for entering India, but we highly recommend checking with your doctor at least a month before your trip — especially if you’re traveling with children, are pregnant, or have any chronic conditions. Some doctors might recommend routine travel vaccinations like Hepatitis A, Typhoid, or Tetanus. It’s also a good idea to bring your usual medications and some basic over-the-counter medicine (like painkillers, anti-diarrhea tablets, or electrolytes) just in case.
India is a multilingual country with Hindi and English being the most widely spoken languages. In Hyderabad, the local language is Telugu, but most people in hotels, airports, and tourist areas speak English quite well — so you’ll be able to get around and communicate without much trouble. We’ll also be around to help, so you’re in good hands!
The currency is Indian Rupees (INR). You can exchange money at the airport, banks, or currency exchange counters. We suggest to bring USD cash to exchange instead of Turkish Lira or other currency. Credit cards are widely accepted in cities, but carrying some cash for small purchases is recommended. ATMs are also easily available.
